6/8/15
6-foot-2, 190-pound athletic build. Showed good enough skills to possibly catch and play the infield at the next level. From behind the plate he has a wide frame and stands up after he receives the ball. Showed impressive arm strength for his age at 79 mph and pop times ranging from 1.94-2.01. In the infield he shows good athleticism and range. Fields the ball into his body with 79 mph arm strength across the diamond. At the plate the right handed hitter has a good load and flat path with some strength in his swing. Registered top exit velocity of 85 mph.

2020 DRAFT: Dingler was swinging it well to open the spring, slashing .340/.404/.760 while being tied for the conference lead in home runs with five. The junior slugged three home runs against North Florida in the penultimate game of the abbreviated season, representing the high point of the campaign. A steadying presence behind the dish, Dingler is an athletic backstop with a big-league arm that neutralizes the run game. Additionally, he's got a sound approach at the plate, excellent feel for the strike zone and the ability to drive the ball to all fields. He compares favorably to Sean Murphy, another recent collegiate catcher from the Buckeye State (Wright State), albeit with a tick less arm strength but a more advanced bat than the Athletics farmhand at this stage of their respective development. Well regarded amongst area scouts, there's enough track record to suggest Dingler will come off the board early, possibly the back-end of the first round.
