Body Type: 6-foot-2, 225-pound physical prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Simple yet efficient moves to loading sequence.
Hit: Balanced swing with obvious physicality. Level path that runs into the baseball often and plays to all fields. Ball flies off his bat.
Power: 104 mph exit velocity. Advanced strength. Ball really carries off his bat. Present ability to leave the yard.
Offensive Projection: Middle.
Run: 8.02 60-yard dash.
Field: Recorded pop times of 2.04-2.15.
Throw: 73 mph arm strength to second base.
Defensive Projection: C/1B.

Lopez once again finds himself on the top performers list for his ability to swing the bat. One of the more physical bats left on the board in the ‘19 class. Swing has some loft creating easy lift and natural backspin. Took a very loud BP and recorded a multi hit day in game. Top tool defensively is his ability to receive back there.

The top power bat we saw on the day. Natural tools are obvious through the zone with strength standing out as his top tool at the plate. Ball looks different off his bat, showing regular gap abilities with loft power to his pull side. Behind the dish he has above average exchange skills and looked more refined as a receiver in than we’ve seen him previously.

A right-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Natural tools stand out for his age. Loading sequence is fluid and he has feel at the plate. Swings the bat with intent and showed impressive pop off the bat. Has the look of a power guy down the road. A physical frame behind the plate. Mechanically sound with above average catch and throw abilities.

6-foot-1, 215-pound with strong frame. This was our first look at the young catcher and he didn’t disappoint. A definite prospect to follow in the 2019 class. Creates impressive bat speed with little movement to his loading sequence. Ball jumps off his bat and he showed power potential to his pull side. Posted a very impressive, 97 mph exit velocity. Behind the plate he showed flexibility to his hips with above average transfer skills. Recorded pop times of 1.92-2.04.
