8/3/14
5-foot-8, 175-pound average build. From the catcher’s position, he can improve footwork by staying down on his throws to second base, as he has a tendency to stand up early, good catcher’s short arm action through a high ¾ slot. Reached pop times between 2.01-2.07 while using 76 mph arm strength. In the infield he shows pretty good footwork, moves well laterally, shows quicker transfer to release time, uses 81 mph arm strength. Switch hitter from the right-side, he starts from a balanced set up, uses a slight weight shift to his back leg for added power, uses a fluid hands back to shoulder trigger, upward bat path, two hand finish, shows bat speed and strength reaching a top exit velocity of 85 mph from the right-side. From the left-side of the batter’s box his swing is identical and reaches a top exit velocity of 87 mph. During his rounds of batting practice it appears he looks comfortable hitting equally from both sides of the plate. He ran a 5.01 out of the box.

6/2/14
5-foot-7, 175-pound prospect. High-end academic type. Uses short arm action through high 3/4 arm action from behind the plate. Quick transfer. Top velocity of 73 mph. Pop times between 2.16 to 2.19. At the plate, he swings from both sides. From the right side, he uses a small leg kick. Tends to drop his hands in his load. From the left side, he is a bit more balanced. Small leg kick. Showed more pop in his bat. Top exit velocity of 88 mph. Ran a 7.88 60.

1/20/14
5-foot-7, 170 pounds with a strong frame.  Switch-hitting catcher.  Ran a 7.61 60 yard dash time.  Behind the plate, he displays quick feet, exchange, and release.  Recorded pop time splits between 1.99 and 2.06.  Also reached a top arm speed of 76 mph behind the dish.  At the plate, he uses a balanced base and short stride from the left and right side.  Takes a short/quick bat path to the ball, and gets good extension through contact.  Line drive type hitter that can put balls in the gaps from time to time.  Will create more power with fully incorporating his lower half.  Reached a top exit velocity of 82 mph.

6/4/13
5-foot-7, 160-pound catcher with short, solid build. Uses short arm action from the crouch to reach a top velocity of 70 mph. Good setup. Shows a quick transfer and fluid footwork. Little wasted movement in his actions. Pop times ranged between 2.11 to 2.23. At the plate, the switch hitter showed strongest from the right side. Starts with his hands high in his load. Shows pull tendencies. Line drive type production. From the left the side, he uses a short stride with decent use of his lower half. Contact type hitter that didn’t show much power. Registered a 8.14 60-yard dash.

1/21/13
5-foot-7, 160-pound catching prospect with small, solid frame. Hard working prospect that shows passion and high motor behind the plate. Good receiver with fluid footwork and lateral movement in blocking. Shows good arm strength but will need improvement in glove to hand exchange to enhance split time (2.12-2.15). Will also need to get physically stronger to increase durability. Shows true switch-hitting skills at the plate. Has always gone from bot sides. Showed better promise as a lefty with controlled upper cut from shoulder trigger. Good lower half torque and hand finish. From the right side, he showed a wider base. Needs to improve staying on his backside.
