8/1/17
6’4, 205-pound prospect right-handed pitching prospect. On the mound the right-hander has an uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Arm works well and he is able to repeat his delivery. Fastball comes out of the hand well and stays mostly true through the zone. Offers a changeup and breaking ball for his secondary offerings. Changeup has some cut and sink to it. Has solid feel for the pitch, maintaining arm speed. Didn’t show breaking ball often but it was impressive when he did. The spinner has a 12/6 shape to it with depth and sharpness.

6/6/17
A 2018 right-hander with a projectable 6-foot-4 frame. On the bump he has an uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Arm action is longer with above average arm speed. Fastball showed arm side run at 81-83 mph. Breaking ball moves on a 11/5 plane at 69-72 mph. The pitch has some sharpness to it and produced swing and misses. Also flashed a changeup using fastball arm speed at 74-75 mph.

2/20/17
Lacey’s progress is impressive. Last June at the Top Prospect Games, he sat 77-79 mph. Now, it appears that the 6-foot-4, 200-pound righty is growing into his body and has better feel for his coordination. He uses quick tempo and throws from a high ¾ to over the top slot. He sat an easy 81-84 mph with sink to the arm side. He mixes in a good out pitch with a 69-71 mph breaking ball with good two-plane action. His changeup sat at 73-75 mph.

1/22/17
6-foot-4, 200-pound projectable frame. On the mound the right-hander has a quick tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Uses long back arm action with above average arm speed. Fastball works on a very downhill plane with run to it at 82-83 mph. Changeup was very impressive at 74-76 mph. The pitch showed late run and sink while being consistently in the zone. Also flashed a big breaking, 12/6 curveball that had some sharpness to it. Mixed in a slider that cut across the plate at 72-73 mph.

6/6/16
6-foot-4, 200-pound projectable frame. Has a slower pace to a delivery his able to repeat. Gets decent momentum towards home plate with his lower half. Average armspeed. His near over the top slot creates a natural downward angle on his 77-79 mph fastball. Spins an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with gradual break at 70-71 mph. Threw a changeup near fastball armspeed at 68-69 mph.

2/15/16
6-foot-4, 190-pound prospect. Young, baby faced prospect with plenty of physical maturation ahead. Delivery is a bit mechanical. Slow pace with a bit of a pause. Will improve as lower half speeds up. Creates downward angle from high slot. Fastball sat in the high 70’s with occasional run. Breaking ball showed late 12/6 action at 68-69 mph. Also mixed in a 68 mph slider. Changeup sat between 65-68 mph down in the zone.

9/12/15
6-foot-3, 184-pound projectable frame with room to fill out. On the mound he has a simple, slow tempo delivery. He has a short stride and able to repeat his delivery. Throws from a long, high-3/4 slot with fastball sitting 76-80 mph with occasional run. Drops his slot a little on his breaking ball at 63-65 mph with 10/4 tilt on it.
