2/15/17
Starts in a balanced setup at the plate prior to getting into his fluid loading sequence. Hands stay loose as they move to launch. Path is downhill with above average bat speed. Strength through contact is impressive. Somewhat raw mechanically but has the tools to hit. Ball jumped off his bat when he found the barrel in batting practice. Starts in a mid crouch behind the plate. Footwork is efficient and quick. Does a nice job of creating direction with his feet and showed quickness to his transfer. Arm strength is there and throws were consistently on the bag.

6/21/16
6-foot-1, 195-pound strong build. On the mound the right-hander has good tempo to a delivery that requires little effort. Has short, quick arm action while working through a high-¾ slot. Fastball sits 73-76 mph on a downward plane. Curveball shows signs of sharpness on an 11/5 plane at 63-64 mph. The ball came off his bat well in batting practice. His combination of strength and flat path allowed him to produce line drives to both sides of the field. Registered an exit velocity of 85 mph. Behind the plate he showed some quickness to his footwork while getting in line to second base. Transfer and arm strength are both above average. Pop times ranged from 2.08-2.2, and he threw with 72 mph arm strength.

6/23/15
6-foot, 195-pound thicker, solid catcher’s body frame, with thicker lower half. From the crouch he uses good footwork to get himself turned and in line on his throws to second base. He throws using a clean, short arm action coming from a high ¾ slot with 72 mph arm strength that helps him reach pop times between 2.13-2.15. Right-handed hitter starts from a tall stance and uses a hands back load that gets to an arm-bar position, creating a little length in his swing. Swings with a level bat path through the zone, finishing with a two-handed follow through. He reached a top exit velocity of 71 mph. He ran a 4.80 out of the box down the line to first base.
