6/6/17
A right-handed pitching prospect in the 2018 class. Mechanically efficient and arm works. Delivery requires regular effort and he goes through a near over the top slot. A strike thrower that has command of all his offerings. Fastball sat 82-84 mph on this day (we saw him at 84-87 mph last week). Spins a very sharp, 12/6 breaking ball with depth. Consistently produced swing and misses with the pitch.

5/31/17
Very impressive showing on the mound. The right-hander flashed a very impressive three-pitch mix. Ball jumps out of his hand with the fastball sitting 86-87 mph. Spins a sharp breaking ball with depth at 68-70 mph. The pitch works on a near 12/6 plane and has swing and miss to it. Curveball definitely looks to be a go to secondary offering but also showed a changeup at 78-79 mph. Flashed above average natural tools at the plate. Takes his hands to launch during his short stride forward. Path is slightly downhill with solid strength through contact. Was at his best when he worked to the middle of the field. Would like to see him flatten out path to let his power show more consistently. In the infield he moves light on his feet and takes direct routes approaching the baseball. Showed confidence in his glove and actions remain on the move.

5/31/16
5-foot-11, 162-pound thin build. Good tempo in his delivery, with good direction to the plate. His delivery requires some effort. Finishes square with a slight recoil occasionally. High ¾ slot with the fastball sitting 78-80 mph. Curveball sits 65-68 mph with 11/5 tilt and gradual break. At the plate he uses a simple hands back load during his short stride. Would like to see him get more weight transfer into contact. Has an uphill bat path that has him better to his pull side at this stage. Recorded a top exit velocity of 71 mph and ran a 5.03 from home to first. Worked out in the infield and outfield. More advanced in the outfield at this stage with fluid actions with the ability to play through the baseball.
