Power: 74 mph exit velocity. Still plenty left in his tank.

Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.

Run: 7.44 seconds 60-yard.
Field: Displayed ability to field the baseball well showing progressing footwork as he approaches the baseball. More consistency to come as he fills out and gets more reps.

9/24/17
Out of all the PBR Black arms Cornwell did the best job of keeping the high powered Riverbat offense at bay. A mechanically sound southpaw the consistently filled up the zone with all three offerings. Stuff wise he isn’t overpowering but did a really nice job of mixing pitches and keeping hitters off balance. Fastball showed occasional run while coming in at 68-70 mph. Breaking ball moves on a 1/7 plane with signs of sharpness at 53-56 mph. Also looked comfortable with a changeup that has a similar look to his fastball. Tossed three innings allowing just two hits and one run. At the plate he swings it from the left side starting in an athletic setup. Goes with a leg kick/bat tip combination for his loading sequence. An aggressive hitter that has feel in the box. Can use the whole field but showed more pop to pull side. Produced consistent line drives in BP with regular backspin to right-field. In the outfield he plays low in fast in his approach. Hands are soft and ball skills are above average. Plays through the baseball well and has a smooth transfer. Arm strength is developing.
Home to 1st: 4.71
Outfield Velocity: 65
Exit Velocity: 78

1/22/17
5-foot-8, 135-pound southpaw. Throws from low ¾ to ¾ slot with long arm action. Tendency to open his lower half early creating some directional issues to his delivery. Fastball displayed some arm side run at 62-66 mph. Breaking ball was flat at 54-55. Will be aided as he stays on top of the pitch. Also used a 54 mph knuckleball with occasional tumble. At the plate, he starts in an athletic stance from the left-side. Backside type tendencies to his swing. Short stride and maintains balance through his swing. Top exit velocity of 67 mph. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. In the outfield, was aggressive getting to the ball. Fields the ball in front of his body. Uses a long ¾ arm action topping at 64 mph in the event.

6/13/16
On the mound he has a quicker tempo to a delivery he was able to repeat. Delivery requires some effort. Creates deception for hitters by having the ability to work through multiple arm slots.  Has a three-pitch mix with his fastball sat 62-66 mph. Fastball has heavy run at times. His best offspeed pitch is his 1/7 shaped curveball that has gradual break at 56-68 mph. Also mixed in a knuckle ball that had some dance to it.

3/19/16
5-foot-7, 125-pound prospect. On the mound the southpaw creates good deception by having the ability to throw from different arm angles. From his natural ¾ slot his fastball sat 61-64 mph with natural run. When he dropped down to sidearm he was able to create heavy run in sink without losing much velocity. His curveball had a 1/7 shape to it with good depth and some sharpness to it at 53-54 mph. Also flashed a knuckleball that had nasty dance to it. At the plate he uses a simple hands back load during his stride forward. Gets the bat in and out of the zone quickly with a short, compact swing. Registered a top exit velocity of mph 64 mph. In the outfield he took aggressive routes to the ball. Could get more out of his crow hop. Showed off 62 mph arm strength to home plate. Ran a 7.9 60-yard dash.
