2/12/17
6-foot-0, 190-pound very athletic frame. Ruby showed why he is regarded as one of the top athletes in the Class of 2017. The two-time state champion quarterback is put together at 6-foot, 190-pounds with an exciting combination of strength and speed. While the Ohio State commit has room to grow mechanically at the plate, he showed flashes of electric bat speed and impressive strength through contact. During the course of his workout, he registered an impressive 91 mph exit velocity using a wood bat while also running a 6.81 60-yard dash and showing mid 80s arm strength from the outfield.

6-foot, 175-pound stronger, athletic build. From the outfield he uses a high ¾ slot that produces some descent carry on his throws reaching a top velocity of 80 mph. Can improve footwork by taking more aggressive action through ground balls, and creating a crow hop to help aid throws. Left-handed hitter starts with a slightly open stance getting back to even, uses a big leg kick for power, uses a hands back to shoulder trigger. Showed the ability to use both sides of the field, reaching a top exit velocity of 77 mph. He ran a 4.18 from home to first base.
