A two-way prospect in the 2018 class. A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, very open setup. Initiates loading sequence through a fluid leg kick. Hands stay loose moving back to launch. Path is level and he gets on plane early. Creates solid energy into contact with his lower half. Ball jumped off his bat to his pull side. Middle of the order type guy. In the outfield he uses quick footwork approaching the baseball. Plays under control through the baseball. Arm strength is the tool that stands out for him defensively. Throws were consistently on target with carry. On the mound the righty is mechanically efficient and works through a near over the top slot. Arm action is clean with some arm speed in there. Fastball works downhill at 82-84 mph. Spins a sharp, 12/6 shaped breaking ball. The pitch has some depth/swing and miss to it at 71-72 mph. Also showed feel for his 79-80 mph change-up. Silverstein can really pitch, throws all three for a strike and struck out 5 of the 6 hitters he faces.

Starts in an open setup and uses a leg kick to initiate loading sequence. Very impressive bat speed with excellent strength through contact. Ball jumps off his bat when he finds the barrel. Consistently drove the ball with authority in batting practice and produced multiple hits in game. Looks to be a legitimate two-way guy at the right level.  Uses aggressive footwork in the outfield. Plays through the ball well and maintains momentum into his throws. Mechanically sound all around. Throws showed solid carry with above average arm strength. Also very impressive on the mound. Ball comes out of his hand very well without a ton of effort. His over the top slot has his fastball working downhill at 83-85 mph. The pitch showed run and sink at times. Also spun a very sharp, 12/6 breaking ball at 70-73 mph. Silverstein produced consistent swing and misses with the breaker. Although the breaking ball is his out pitch he also showed the ability to challenge hitter with the fastball late in the count and displayed a playable changeup.

6/21/16
6-foot-1, 165-pound athletic, projectable frame. Has some quickness to his arm while working through an over the top slot. Fastball was anywhere from 76-80 mph on a downward plane. Would like to see him work corners as a majority of his fastballs were in the middle part of the plate. Curveball isn’t a big breaker but has good depth with some sharpness to it and a 12/6 shape. Starting in a tall setup he creates solid energy into contact through a long stride and well timed weight shift. Bat gets through the zone with above average batspeed. Showed impressive pop to his pull side. Ran a 4.48 and reached a top exit velocity of 85 mph. In the outfield he had fluidity to his footwork and was able to play through the baseball. Gets efficient use out of his crow hop. Throws showed carry with 83 mph arm strength.
