1/29/17
6-foot, 175-pound prospect with thin frame. On the mound, the righty takes a small rocker step to the outside of his body. Recenters weight with leg kick. Slow, deliberate tempo. Throws from a ¾ to high ¾ arm slot with short arm action. Delivery has some effort to it. Fastball sat 76-77 mph. Breaking ball typically sat 66-68 mph with 11/5 shape and thrown down in the zone. Shows good arm speed with the pitch. Also mixed in a 69 mph changeup that showed some fade to it. A righty swinger that starts slightly open and gets back to even with a controlled stride. Hands move slightly back during load and barrel gets vertical. Barrel gets in and out of the zone quickly and swing is compact. Stronger than he is fast with the bat at this stage. Stays fluid throughout swing sequence.

6/21/16
6-foot, 165-pound prospect. Behind the plate he threw to second base with 70 mph arm strength and had pop times ranging from 2.02-2.15. Pop times are impressive for his age. Has quickness to both his feet and transfer. At the plate he has above average batspeed while getting through the zone on a level path. Should see immediate increases in his 72 mph exit velocity was he learns to use his lower half more efficiently. Did a nice job of staying inside the baseball in batting practice.

6/15/16
6-foot, 155-pound athletic frame. Ran a 4.55 from home to first. In the infield he has quickness to his footwork with some confidence in his glove. Tends to field the ball flat footed. Threw across the infield with loose arm action and 77 mph arm strength. At the plate he starts in a tall, slightly open stance before getting back to even through a short stride. Tends to cast his hands at the ball causing him to lose some explosiveness. Top exit velocity was 77 mph. On the mound he works through a high ¾ slot with average armspeed at this stage. Fastball sat 71-73 mph. Spins an 11/5 breaking ball with sharp break at 62-65 mph.
