2/1/17
A thin frame at 5-foot-9, 145-pounds. On the mound the right-hander uses a slower tempo to his delivery that requires some effort. Arm actions is quick with average arm speed. Stays tall at balance point before dropping to create momentum to home plate. Lands in line at foot strike. Has solid movement on all of his pitches. Fastball showed substantial cut at 72-74 mph. Breaking ball was very sharp at times at 60-61 mph. Changeup was arguably his best offspeed pitch as he maintains fastball arm speed and puts late fade on it. Also flashed feel for a knuckle ball. At the plate he starts open and uses a double tap load and controlled stride to get back to even. Hands stay simple prior to getting the bat through the zone on a level path. Swing is compact and path is level. Creates solid barrel whip through the zone. A top of the lineup guy at this stage with the natural tools to move to the middle as he matures. Footwork is quick and efficient in the infield. Creates angles and plays through the ball well. Showed quickness to his transfer. Has the glove skills to play in the middle of the field.
Infield Velocity: 75
Exit Velocity: 76

5-foot-8, 125-pound thin frame. In the infield fields the ball into his body and shows decent range for his age. Throws from a short, high 3/4 slot with 68 mph arm strength across the diamond. Might be able to play shortstop as he gets stronger. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. More spread out and gets heavy on his front foot. Flat barrel that stays in the hitting zone with 71 mph exit velocity and ran 4.72 home to first.
