2/09/20

2/9/20 Position Player
Hit: One of the most impressive pure hitters in the class. Starts out in a balanced setup with quiet hands. High leg kick and solid hip rotation generates a ton of lower half momentum. Uphill bat path back spinning everything. A lot of barrel control.
Power: Showing more and more power as he continues to fill out. Offensive projectability is very evident.
Offensive Projection: Middle of the lineup.
Top Rapsodo BP Exit Velocity: 95 mph.
Top Rapsodo BP Distance: 294 ft.
Field: Looks natural in the outfield. Plays under control with above average glove skills. Knows when to attack and when to play his hop.
Throw: Very loose arm through a ¾ slot. Ball jumps out of the hand.
Defensive Projection: Corner outfield.

2/10/19

Body Type: 6-foot, 190-pound well built prospect.Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance with an efficient back load to hands during leg kick timing trigger.
Hit: Continues to impress at the plate. Really stands out for combination of natural tools and barrel accuracy. Squares it up often and when he does it goes. Generates natural backspin and jump to both gaps. Hit tool is real.
Power: 96 mph exit velocity. Starting to grow into power.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer.
Run: 6.72 60-yard dash.
Field: Good athlete that gets to the baseball quickly. Ball skills are behind other tools which is the only reason he’s a left field lean presently but has the arm and speed to play all three.
Throw: 88 mph arm strength to home plate. Arm looked much improved since we’ve seen him last.
Defensive Projection: CF/LF with a lean towards left field.

2/11/18

A very good athlete with an impressive combination of speed and strength. Continues to show why he is regarded as one of the top pure hitters in his class. Looks to have made an adjustment with hand placement since we’ve seen him last. The change looks to be a good one thus far, allowing him to sync lower half with hands more naturally. Stood out for his barrel control, making loud contact to both gaps. The Kent State staff has to be excited about getting that hit tool to campus in a few years. Defensively, he has a tweener skill set. Foot speed and arm play in both center with a more of a left fielder look ball skill wise.

60-yard dash: 6.73
Outfield Velocity: 85
Exit Velocity: 92

8/02/17

Much more physical than your average 2020 grad. Started off a bit amped up but drove the ball with authority when he settled in. His advanced natural tools show up in his swing. Stays very fluid throughout swing sequence and looks to really understand his swing movements, easily repeating his swing. High upside bat who projects to hit for power. In the outfield he moves well and has above average ball skills. Arm is average at this stage and how that tool develops will likely determine which spot he ends up at.

7/25/17
Has a chance to be special at the plate. A good athlete with an impressive build. Swing sequence is rhythmic and fluid. Body works well allowing him to separate and get on plane early. Natural tools are far advanced for his age. Took the top batting practice of the day and hit a no doubt home run in game. In the outfield he looks fluid and comfortable. Plays through the baseball well and showed above average arm strength.

60-Yard Dash: 6.83
