A two-way prospect with an athletic, 6-foot, 185-pound prospect. A drop in drive type guy with a max effort delivery. Working through a high-¾ slot he showed above average arm speed. His fastball showed heavy cut while coming in at 77-79 mph. His 11/5 shaped breaking ball had some sharpness to it at 70-72 mph. Also showed a slider that worked across the plate at 69-70 mph. He threw his changeup near fastball arm speed and the pitch had sink to it. At the plate he starts tall, with his barrel vertical. Gets the bat through the zone with some bat speed on a level path. Produced line drives to the middle of the field during BP and reached a top exit velocity of 80 mph. In the outfield he has quick footwork approaching the ball and plays through it efficiently. Uses a big, exaggerated crow hop prior to throwing to home plate with 81 mph arm strength. Ran a 4.43 from home to first.

2/17/14
Skinny 5-foot-11, 155-pound body frame with lots of room for added strength. Infielder tends to stay on heels, will improve as he learns to play through the ball. Hands have room for improvement as he has a tendency to stab at times. He threw with 73 mph arm strength from the infield and 75 mph arm strength from the outfield. Offensively he begins with a balanced set up, hands back trigger that gets to arm bar. With more use of his lower half, power should increase. Ran a 7.75 60-yard dash. On the mound, he sat 71-74 mph with long arm action through a high 3/4 arm slot. Breaking ball showed spin at 59-61 mph. Will improve break as he stays on top of it. Changeup sat at 69-71 mph.
