1/28/17 5-foot-11, 130-pound prospect with skinny frame. Best tool at present appears to be his bat. At the plate, he starts in a balanced, athletic stance. Generated consistent line drives in BP. Simple load with short path to the ball. Shows confidence in his approach. Power will come with additional maturation. Top exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 4.79 home to first time. From the outfield, he showed short arm action through a high ¾ slot. Some choppiness to his actions. Needs to play through the baseball to create better fluidity to his actions. Top velocity of 63 mph. Also worked out at first base showing a developing skill set. Top velocity of 66 mph across the infield. On the mound, the righty uses a slow, mechanical delivery. Throws from high ¾ slot with average arm speed. Regular effort to his delivery. Fastball is straight at 65-69 mph. Breaking ball shows some spin at 62-64 mph while changeup has occasional fade at 65-67 mph down in the zone.

The thin 2019 also performed on the mound. The right hander uses normal tempo in his delivery. Hides the ball well from the hitter as his arm follows through an over the top slot. Two-pitch mix. Fastball showed some slight action while sitting between 59-61 mph. Breaking ball offers 11/5 tilt while sitting between 56-59 mph; pitch displays natural depth. A left-handed hitter that starts slightly closed before and uses minimal load before attacking the ball. This simple approach allows him to take a short, compact path to the ball. Registered a top exit velocity of 66 mph. He showed the ability to move well of the back at first base and had some quickness to his transfer on his double play balls. From a high-¾ slot he threw across the infield with 61 mph arm strength. In the outfield he takes direct routes to the ball before fielding it in the middle of his body on his heels. Will need to learn to play through the ball. Using the same slot he threw to home plate with 61 mph arm strength. Ran an impressive 4.19 from home to first.
