The 5-foot-10, 190-pound solid athlete shows an exceptionally strong lower half. He is a left-handed hitting and left-handed throwing outfielder that has proven to be one of the top outfielders in the Class of 2013. Due to an injury, he did not run the day of the event, but he has checked in between 6.7-6.8 in the past. From the outfield, he uses a loose, high ¾ arm slot that generated 84 mph velocity. At the plate, he uses a smooth load with fast bat speed to produce gap-to-gap power.
6/04/12
Strong, stocky prospect with potential two-way abilities. Reached a top velocity of 82 mph from the outfield. Makes solid contact as hitter with good lower body action. Line drive bat with power to the gaps. Low hand trigger suggests occasional bat drag into zone. Has future power potential with maturity. On the mound, he shows a repeatable delivery with front side inward kick. Gets backside arm extension with finish & hip pop. Projects as a reliever. Displays good arm action on all pitches through moderate 3/4 slot. Fastball is an easy 84-87 mph (topped 88 mph in HS tourney) with very nice 75-78 mph slider. Threw one changeup at 77 mph with good arm speed.
