Behind the plate he displayed mechanically sound footwork and some quickness to his transfer. Arm action is unique but throws were consistently on the bag. At the plate he starts in a balanced setup. Uses a short stride for timing. Barrel launches from a vertical setup. Gets the bat through the zone on a level path with obvious strength through contact. Ball jumps off his bat when he finds the barrel. A gap to gap guy with more left in there

At the plate he has a very efficient, fluid loading sequence where he incorporates a barrel tip during his toe turn load. Showed feel for the barrel, getting it on plane early and consistently squaring balls up. Strength and bat speed are both above average tools. Worked both sides of the field, showing the ability to create backspin. Behind the dish, he does a nice job of creating direction with his feet during his exchange. Footwork is quick and transfer skills are adequate. Throws were on the bag for the most part.
