7/12/17 On the bump he goes with an uptempo pace to a delivery that requires little effort. Works through a near ¾ slot with slinging arm action. Fastball stayed mostly true through the zone, sitting 74-79 mph. Offers a changeup and breaking ball for his secondary offerings. Breaking ball has an 11/5 shape to it. 6/14/17 5-foot-10, 198-pound thick body frame. From third base he uses good footwork, creating rhythmic momentum through the baseball. Fields with his hands out in front of his body. Throws with a clean, short arm action through an upper ¾ slot reaching a velocity of 71 mph across the infield. On the mound he uses regular, but not a lot of effort to his delivery. Has a straight up and down leg lift and hides the ball well before he pitches. Lands in a straight line at foot strike finishing with his momentum carrying in good direction toward home plate. Throws with average arm speed through a ¾ slot. His fastball has arm-side run at times between 73-75 mph. The curveball has mostly gradual break with good depth at an 11/5 plane between 58-62 mph. 2/13/16 5-foot-9, 200-pound prospect that throws from a high ¾ arm slot with long arm action. Some stiffness to his delivery. Fastball sat in the high 60’s, topping out at 71 mph. Should pick up velocity with more use of his lower half. Breaking ball sat at 55-57 mph with gradual action. Tended to be on the side of it. Changeup was straight at 59-60 mph. Both off-speed pitches will be enhanced with quick arm speed. In the box he starts with a wide, slightly open stance and uses a short stride to get back to even. Hands stay simple and fire through the zone on an uphill path. Would benefit from more weight transfer onto his front foot. Exit velocity was 80 mph. In the infield he does a good job of playing low and fielding the ball out in front of his body on play in his funnel. From a high-¾ slot he threw the ball across the infield with 68 mph arm strength. Ran a 7.88 60-yard dash.
