Starts in a tall setup at the plate. Very simple mechanically and lets his natural tools go to work. A strong kid that takes a downhill path to the baseball. Barrel gets in and out of the zone quickly. Worked mostly to his pull side in batting practice. Would like to see him add rhythm to his loading sequence. Behind the plate, his feet start in a balanced stance with his feet just outside shoulder width. Takes a quick jab stab and gains ground towards second base. Maintains direction. Uses short arm action through high ¾ to an over the top slot. Pop times ranged between 2.25 to 2.31.
