5-foot-7, 160-pound southpaw. Smallish lefty that shows good balance in delivery and moderate arm speed through upper 3/4 arm slot. Spots fastball at 74-76 mph. Has some downward spin on curve (62-64 mph) and straight change (67-68 mph). Also showed cutter with some bite (66-68 mph).
Ewalt is a small, athletic left-handed pitching prospect. He uses a 70-72 mph fastball that shows some natural cut. His curveball, which sits at 61-62 mph, shows 12/6 action when he stays on top of it. He also shows command of a 65 mph straight changeup.
