7/18/17
A 5-foot-9, 210-pound prospect. On the bump the right-hander has a low effort, rhythmic delivery. Works through a near over the top slot with developing arm speed. Arm action is longer with a slight hitch in the back. Fastball stays mostly true through the zone. Showed the ability to change eye levels with the pitch. Complements his fastball with an 11/5 shaped breaking ball. The pitch shows potential, with signs of sharpness and depth. Was at his best when he got ahead in counts to use the pitch as a put away offering. Also showed a knuckle a few times that showed some dance to it.

2/18/17
5-foot-9, 210-pound prospect. Defensively, he uses short arm action. Average speed to his transfer. Showed feel around the bag. Will be aided as his foot speed improves. On the mound, the right handed pitcher uses a smooth tempo delivery with repeatable mechanics. Uses short arm action through a high ¾ slot. Fastball consistently sits between 72-73 mph. Breaking ball displays early sharp break through a 10/4 plane at 59-60 mph. Uses arm speed similar to his fastball with his 66-67 mph changeup. At the plate he starts in a balanced setup before going with a toe turn to initiate his loading sequence. Times up upper half load nicely, at release. A strong kid with some obvious quickness to his bat. Path is downhill, causing slight inconsistencies with flush contact. Would be aided by a more level path to give himself a larger margin for error in timing.
