On the bump the southpaw has a slower paced tempo to his repeatable delivery. Uses an easy leg lift followed by a drop and drive load. Lands slightly closed at foot strike. Arm action is long with above average arm speed. Works through a high-¾ slot and offers a fastball/breaking ball combination. Fastball works downhill with slight arm side run. Worked mostly to his arm side with the pitch. Breaking ball has a 1/7 shape to it with developing sharpness. Used the pitch mostly as a put-away offering. Still developing feel for the pitch. Overall the stuff is there and he was very successful when he was in the zone. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Uses a leg kick to get things going while keeping his hands simple. A fluid swinger with impressive strength through contact. Path is level and barrel has some whip to it. A middle of the lineup type guy with present gap pop. At first base he showed above average lateral mobility and feel around the bag. Glove skills are above average and work well out outside his funnel. Plays with confidence.
