6-foot-3, 180-pound prospect. At the plate the lefty starts in a wider setup prior to getting into his loading sequence. Somewhat raw mechanically but has impressive natural strength and bat speed. Path is downhill and barrel direction tends to go to his pull side. Worked predominantly to the right side of the field in batting practice, showing the ability to produce hard contact. An above average athlete for the first base position. Does a nice job of playing low and fielding the ball out in front of his body. Has definite feel for the position. On the mound the southpaw has a fluid tempo to his delivery that requires some effort. Tilts his shoulders for leverage and lands in line to home plate. Works through a high-¾ slot with looseness to his arm. Fastball showed run to it at times while sitting 76-78 mph, topping at 79. Is able to maintain his fastball arm speed on his changeup that showed late fade to it. Has decent feel for the pitch at 72-75 mph. Spins a 2/8 shaped breaking ball that showed some sharpness to it, especially when he started it on the plate and broke it off. The pitch came in the zone at 62-64 mph.

6-foot-3, 180-pound strong athletic frame. Ran a 4.76 from home to first. At first base he moves well laterally and has above average glove skills. Could play lower. Threw across the infield with 65 mph arm strength. At the plate he starts in a wider setup and incorporates his lower half through a small leg kick. Hands stay simple before getting the bat through the zone on a downhill path. Very strong kid, ball came off his bat well in batting practice. Has gap to gap pop at this stage with signs of power potential as he learns to use his lower half more efficiently and flatten out that swing a bit. Top exit velocity was 90 mph.
