7/10/19

Body Type: 5-foot-10, 130-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Switch hitter with a similar look from both sides. Movements sync well and he never looked rushed.
Hit: Much, much more physical than we've seen him last. Looks to be a true switch that finds the barrel often from both sides of the plate. Maybe slightly further ahead from the right but should continue to hit from both sides. Expect him to continue the upward trend as he continues to fill out athletic frame.
Power: Line drive guy with gap abilities. 79.8 mph off the bat from the left and 82.1 mph off the bat from the right.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.

Field:  Smooth actions in the infield with good rhythm throughout. Ball skills are good with the chance to improve as he develops.

Throw:  Throws from over the top with loose arm action.  Developing arm strength.

Defensive Projection:  2nd base.

Body Type: 5-foot-10, 130-pound thin build

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Compact delivery, works in-line with a short stride. Uses a long arm action working through a high-3/4 slot.

Fastball: Fastball shows some late run and sink to the arm side at 67-71 mph.

Curveball: Spins the breaking ball well. The pitch has a short 11/5 break the flashes some sharpness at 63-64 mph.

Changeup: N/A

Pitchability: Nice job locating the fastball, shows good feel for the breaking ball.

7/24/18
Second baseman type in the infield. Smooth, quiet feet with soft hands through fielding. Showed the ability to move out of funnel to make plays. Easy transfer with an accurate arm across the diamond. Switch hitter with a top of the lineup look to him from both sides. Feel hitter with line drives abilities. Left was a bit stronger on this day but we’ve seen him show he’s a legit switch before.

7/11/18
Beaverson stands at 5-foot-7, 110-pounds. On the mound he seems to throw with minimal effort with a tendency to miss arm-side and high on a Fastball at 63-66 mph due to not finishing his delivery. His Changeup has some arm side run to it with brief drop as well at 60 mph. He also throws a KN that features slight tumble at 58-60 mph. His last offering is a Curveball that breaks on an 11/5 plane at 53-57 mph with minimal movement. He will see improvements as he continues to mature. Defensively footwork has improved since we previously saw him. Plays under control moving to the ball with quiet feet. Squares to the baseball upon approach before throwing from a ¾ slot with a long arm action. Switch hitter that has a similar look mechanically and physically from both side. Simple, yet efficient load into a balanced launch. Compact stroke with slight downhill tendencies from the right. A bit more barrel lag from the left. Contact type bat from both sides who stays inside the ball well and can backspin it up the middle of the field. Much more physical than we saw him last.
60-yard dash: 8.16
Infield Velocity: 59
Exit Velocity: 68

7/12/17
In the infield, his footwork is developing. Tends to let the longer hops catch him on his heels. Feet stay square to the ball. Funnels the ball into the waist before transitioning into a 3/4 release across diamond. Arm strength will come with added size. A switch hitter at the plate. Natural tools look even from both sides. A contact guy who can find the barrel with regularity. Showed line drive capability and is an fields type hitter. Projects for more pop as he matures physically. On the mound, the right-hander throws with a fluidity. Delivery is easily repeatable. Low effort delivery with most of the energy coming from his upper half. Releases the ball from a ¾ arm slot. Fastball shows developing command. Curveball comes in on a 11-5 tilt with gradual break. Also shows a developing changeup with similar arm speed.

5/31/17
A switch hitter with a contact type skill set from both sides.. Same mech from both sides. Uses a controlled stride while taking his hands back to a strong launch position. Path is level and swing is compact. Bat speed is developing. Swing is efficient and any added strength should translate to added pop. A contact type guy at this stage. Better from left side at this stage. In the infield he plays with fluidity and under control. Does a nice job of staying low as he plays through the baseball. Tends to field from heels at times, would be aided by creating angles in his pre fielding footwork. Second baseman skills set. On the mound the right-hander has a fluid tempo to his low effort delivery. Mechanically efficient with clean arm action. Works through a high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 59-62 mph. Any added strength should translate to added velocity. Spins 55-56 mph breaking ball that has an 11/5 shape to it. Showed confidence in the pitch and was able to consistently locate it in the zone. Also flashed a 57-58 mph changeup, maintaining fastball arm speed.

12/11/16

A 5-foot-2, 100-pound prospect. Ran an 8.5 60-yard dash. A switch hitter that has a mechanically efficient swing from both sides. More advanced from the left side at this stage, where he showed solid strength/bat speed for his frame. Bat path is level from both sides and he was able to consistently find the barrel. Was more successful toward the middle of the field from the right side and showed impressive pop to pull side from the left. Reached a top exit velocity of 60 mph. In the infield he has quickness to his footwork and confidence in his glove. Solid second baseman skill set. Threw across the infield with 53 mph arm strength.
