8/2/16
5-foot-11, 175-pound athletic, strong frame. From the catcher’s position he uses athletic footwork to get himself turned and squared up before he throws to second base. Throws with a clean, short arm action through a high ¾ slot. Reached a top velocity of 76 mph on his throws to help him produce pop times ranging from 1.97-2.04. The right-handed hitter starts his swing from an open stance using a good, rhythmic weight shift with his lower half to his back leg to generate power, and strides back to being squared up. Has a fluid load with his hands moving past his back shoulder. Showed the ability to use both sides of the field during his round of batting practice and game at bats, squaring up the baseball consistently with line drive production. Recorded a top exit velocity of 90 mph and ran a 4.63 home to first base time.

6/6/16
5-foot-11, 170-pound athletic frame. A hitter that is stronger than he is twitchy. Gets his lower half involved through a knee pinch load creating efficient energy into contact. He starts with his bat vertical which gives him natural whip through the zone. Definite strength into contact. Had more pop in batting practice than his 87 mph exit velocity might indicate. Ran a 7.88 60-yard dash. Quiet feet behind the plate. Soft hands. Receiving skills are excellent. Pop times ranged between 1.97 to 2.08. Only area of potential weakness is arm strength. Top velocity of 77 mph from the crouch with limited carry. Needs to continue improving for the next level.

2/15/16
Has matured physically since we saw him last and is now a strong, athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Ryan is a solid defender behind the plate with a strong arm as he showed by throwing with 78 mph arm strength to second base. Pop times ranged from 2.0-2.11 which should easily get better as he speeds up his transfer. At the plate he starts open before taking an aggressive stride forward. He takes his hands back in his load to create balance and good separation from his lower half. Taking a flat path to the ball he was able to consistently find the barrel in batting practice. Top exit velocity was 82 mph and ran a 4.78 down the line.

11/2/14
5-foot-10, 160-pound average build. From the outfield he needs to create more momentum attacking the baseball and utilize a crow hop. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 79 mph arm strength from the outfield. Behind the plate he has an ok exchange from a high-¾ slot with pop times ranging from 2.12-2.26 and 73 mph arm strength home-to-second. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Big leg kick and good bat path with high finish. Registered top exit velocity of 74 mph and ran a 7.76 60-yard dash.

7/29/14
5-foot-9, 165-pound body frame. From the outfield he tends to take cautious routes on ground ball, can improve by playing through the baseball more often. He gets rid of the baseball quickly on his throws with 74 mph arm strength. From the crouch he shows good footwork, with some arm strength, and quicker release reaching pop times between 2.26-2.31 and 71 mph arm strength from the position. Offensively, he starts from a wider stance, uses a toe-tap going towards his back leg then strides for timing, showed pull tendencies during his BP round. Reached a top exit velocity of 71 mph and ran a 4.6 down the line.
