8/04/19

Body Type: 5-foot-10, 175-pound prospect.
Hit: Easy load that flows into a balanced launch. Swing is compact and works on a slightly downhill path to contact. Offers a balanced combination of strength and speed to stroke. Pull side tendencies in BP.
Power: Line drive pop. 85.8 off the bat in BP.
Offensive Projection: TBD.
Field: Plays low throughout fielding sequence in the outfield. Feet are quick and ball skills are on par for class.
Throw: Accurate thrower with more strength on its way.
Defensive Projection: Corner type.

1/21/19 Pitching

Body Type: 5-foot-10 170-pound prospect with room to add strength.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Compact and efficient delivery, level shoulders and good direction. Long arm action working through a ¾ slot with some effort.

Fastball: 70-72 mph fastball shows above average run to both sides of the plate.

Curveball: 61-63 mph breaking ball has 11/5 shape with tumbling action, pitch was a bit loopy at times.

Changeup: 63-64 mph changeup is thrown with good arm speed and shows slight fade near the zone.

Pitchability: Has a decent feel for both secondary offerings, fastball was a little erratic and needs to improve command of that pitch moving forward.

Role: Current stuff and command most likely lands him in a bullpen role.

1/21/19
Body Type: 5-foot-10 170-pound prospect with room to add strength.
Swing Mechanics:
Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Uses a short stride for timing with slight back load to hands.
Hit:
Level to slightly downhill path to hands. Swing offers a bit more present strength than it does speed through the zone. All fields approach in BP.
Power:
81 mph exit velocity. Line drive guy with gap abilities.
Offensive Projection:
Multiple Roles.
Run:
7.86 60-yard dash.
Field:
Versatile defender with a playable skill set at both spots. In the outfield he plays under control with fluid actions and a one-handed play through. Looks fluid at third base as well where ball skills play a bit higher. Looks more projectable at third base presently.
Throw:
76 mph from the infield and outfield. Arm is top tool as a defender. Loose arm action with much more strength to come.
Defensive Projection:
3B/Corner OF.

1/15/18

Brings an athletic presence to the mound. Tempo is quicker and delivery has some effort to it. A tall and fall type guy with minimal lower half load. Showed developing arm speed with slinging arm action. Fastball had regular arm side action with some dive to it when working down in the zone. Velocity was anywhere from 70-72 mph. Looked comfortable with his changeup that had similar action to his fastball at 63-64 mph. Spins a gradual breaking curveball that has an 11/5 shape at 64-65. A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller setup. Hands move slightly back during his double tap timing mechanism. Barrel has some lag through the zone on a level path. Does a nice job of finding plane early allowing him to use both sides of the field. A line drive swing stroke in general. Registered a top exit velocity of 78 mph. At third base he uses quick footwork prior to fielding. Fields the ball deep in the middle of his body piro to funnelling to stomach during transition. Ball skills are average through fielding. Threw it across the diamond with 71 mph arm strength Also worked out in the outfield. Plays with good tempo in his approach. Plays one-handed through the baseball with adequate ball skills. Position will likely be determined by how arm develops. Presently shows 72 mph arm strength to home plate. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash.
