Alas is a tall, athletic infield prospect. In high school, he typically plays a middle infield position, but likely projects as a first baseman at the next level. At the plate, Alas uses a wide, slightly open stance. He uses sound rotational mechanics with little wasted movement. With a strong lower half, explosive bat speed, and a slight uphill bat path, he shows gap-to-gap tendencies with pull power. He registered a 7.12 60-yard dash.
