5-foot-11, 205-pound prospect. One of the top unsigned, left-handed bats in the state. Skipton has really matured physically, showing a much more muscular/defined frame than we saw last winter. At the plate his natural tools stand out immediately, with his fast bat and impressive strength. His simple, yet efficient approach mechanically allows him to create a ton of juice with a low effort swing. All tools at the plate translate to the next level.Natural feel for the second base position. Starts in an athletic stance with some bend in his knees. Quick transfer. Fields the ball out in front and quickly gets the ball out of a ¾ slot with top velocity of 79 mph.

Gets from launch to contact very quickly, showing solid strength through contact and impressive bat speed. Worked mostly to his pull side during batting practice, showing flashes of power potential. Reached a top exit velocity of 96 mph off the tee. Takes direct routes to the ball in the infield with the tendency to field on heels. Glove skills are adequate. Threw across the infield with 77 mph arm strength
