Walsh commit (Football)
6/7/16
6-foot-3, 230-pound strong frame. Starts in a balanced athletic setup and uses a simple approach at the plate. His advanced strength allows him to drive the ball with authority while using simple mechanics. Has impressive pop to the opposite field gap. Had a top exit velocity of 92 mph and ran a 7.99 60-yard dash. Perfect body for 1B. Long arms. He has good range and feet around the bag. His arm works and his accuracy is above average. Top velocity of 79 mph on his throws. An intimidating presence on the mound. Has a three pitch mix to his arsenal with his fastball sitting 78-81 mph. Have seen him up to 84 mph at prior events. Curveball has sharpness to it with an 11/5 shape at 72-75 mph. Also mixed in a changeup, using fastball armspeed at 73-74 mph.

2/20/16
The 2017 prospect features an imposing frame on the mound. The right hander uses normal tempo while working through a high ¾ slot with some length in arm action. Offers a good one-two punch with his fastball and slider. His fastball sits between 82-84 mph that displays some late arm-side run in the zone. Showed good command for his 75-78 mph slider that cuts late in the zone; swing and miss type potential pitch. Also offers a 75-78 mph changeup that displays some arm-side movement.  A possible two-way guy also impressed at the plate. Trent stays simple to take advantage of his advance strength and above average batspeed. Starting in a wide setup he uses a toe turn to initiate his lower half while keeping his hands relatively simple. In batting practice he the ball jumped off his bat and he displayed impressive pop to his opposite field gap. Reached a top exit velocity of 91 mph. Has the actions of a very good defensive first baseman. Creates good angles on his double play balls and has fluidity to his actions. He threw with 71 mph arm strength across the diamond and ran a 4.59 from home to first.

7/29/14
Tall 6-foot-3, 210-pound body frame. At first base, he moves well around the bag, with good footwork, he threw using 76 mph velocity across the infield. Offensively, the right-handed hitter starts from a balanced set up, simple repeatable swing mechanics, with line drive production, small hands back trigger, up the middle approach. Had a good round of BP squaring up the baseball consistently. Reached a top exit velocity of 76 mph and ran a 5.13 down the line to first base. On the mound, he uses a high leg kick and gets good length on his stride. He throws with a shorter arm action, with average arm speed through a ¾ slot. His delivery requires regular effort with the fastball showing some natural tailing movement at 79-80 mph. Slider was at 72-74 mph  with downward movement, needs to stay on top of the pitch. Knuckle ball showed downward tumble at 64-67 mph.

6/24/14
6-foot-3, 215-pound body frame. Right-handed pitcher throws from a ¾ slot using average armspeed, and average effort. His fastball showed some tailing movement at 76-79 mph. His curveball was at 66 mph with downward break. Slider was thrown a bit harder at 68-70 mph and was tighter than his curveball. He also threw a changeup at fastball armspeed showing sinking action at 68 mph.
