1/15/18

Ran a 7.64 60-yard dash. A right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. A power type bat who swing with intent. Load is fluid and movements are well timed. Displayed present barrel jump to the both sides of the field. Was at his best when he worked gap to gap. Strength is a well above average tool and bat speed isn’t far behind. Impressive round of BP and topped out at 96 mph exit velocity. A first baseman with obvious feel for the position. Showed feel around the bag with the ability to create throwing lanes prior to fielding. Ball skills were impressive as well. Tossed it across the infield with 71 mph arm strength. Solid defender. Also worked out behind the dish, recording impressive pop times of 1.98-2.06, and throwing with 73 mph arm strength to second base.

7/25/17
A right-hander hitter that starts in a wider setup. Loading sequence is fluid, creating timing and energy. Path is level and barrel explodes through the zone. Gets on plane early, allowing him to use entire field. Some of the top raw power at the event. Impressive combination of natural tools and feel at the plate. At third base he uses calm footwork and plays under control. Hands are soft and ball skills are above average. Moves well laterally for frame. Plays with confidence outside his funnel.
60-yard Dash: 8.03
Infield Velocity: 74
Exit Velocity: 94

7/18/17
A 5-foot-10, 225-pound prospect. Offensively, he is a right-handed bat that starts in a balanced setup. Barrel flows to launch during his leg kick timing mechanism. Swings with intent with some natural loft to his path. Bat speed is above average and strength stands out as his top tool. His strength and loft give him present pull side power. Can find the gap with ease. Middle of the lineup type guy. Behind the plate, he starts in a mid crouch. Footwork creates direction during transfer. Exchange skills are average at this stage, but he has the fluidity and functional athleticism to improve. Showed well above average arm strength to second base. At first base he moves really well around the bag. Looks athletic and comfortable at the position. Glove skills are well above average. The top defender we saw at the position during his session.

2/18/17
5-foot-10, 220-pound prospect. At first base, he shows some athleticism in his feet. Good hands around the bag. Quick release with short arm action out of a ¾ slot. Behind the dish, he starts with his footwork slightly open. Footwork needs to get more consistent. Shows some length at times. Transfer shows some quickness. Short arm action through ¾ to high ¾ slot. Initiates his movement at the plate with a leg kick load and controlled stride. Hands move back to launch during his forward movement, prior to taking a mostly level path to the baseball. Natural tools are impressive and he showed signs of being a middle of the order guy down the road. Flashed power potential to his pull sides.

Home to First: 4.62
Catcher Velocity: 77
Pop Time: 2.1-2.2
Infield Velocity: 72
Exit Velocity: 92

1/18/16
5-foot-9, 210-pound thick build. A right-handed hitter that starts open and uses a leg kick to get back to even. Hands go slightly back during forward movement and launch from a strong position. Showed good bat speed with an exit velocity was 85 mph.  Would like to see him transfer more weight into contact. Behind the plate he starts from a high crouch and does a good job of getting in line to second base during his transfer. Pop times ranged from 2.13-2.20. Threw from a 3/4 slot with 70 mph arm strength.
