The 6-foot, 160- pound righty is one of the most intriguing pitching prospects from the event. Uses a smooth, rhythmic delivery that requires regular effort. Works from a near sidearm slot with a quick arm that could prove to be a nightmare for RHHs moving forward. The fastball has very good movement and often works with hard, armside sink at 84-87 mph. To compliment that, Segal uses a sweeping breaking ball that works in a 10/4 manner at 70-73 mph. As the offspeed stuff gets better that will only make the fastball more effective. These pitches will have the ability to play off of one another moving forward.

Segal is athletic and explosive on the mound. There is room to add weight to his 5-11 and 160-pound frame. Presently offers a solid fastball/changeup combo from an almost sidearm slot. Fastball sat 82-84 mph with heavy sink and run. At 71-73 mph, the changeup offers the same sink and run as the fastball. Showed good feel for the breaking ball. The pitch presently has a slurvy shape at 67-69 mph.

A 5-foot-10, 140-pound prospect. A ¾ guy on the mound. Starts with a slower tempo that speed up during his belt high leg lift. Lands slightly closed at foot strike, finishing more toward third base line. Delivery creates deception and puts heavy run and sink on his fastball. Arm speed is above average with obvious whip to his arm. Fastball/slider combination is impressive, using the same tunnel for both. A nightmare for righties as he starts both offering middle in, prior to running fastball in or freezing hitters with the slider. Slider has late bite to is as it darts into the strike zone. Limited viewing on the changeup but it looks playable, showing some run and dive to it. Tends to slow arm on the offering. Stuff plays right now as a matchup guy, with starter potential if changeup catches up to other two offerings to be effective against lefties. Dominated in his outing, allowing few baserunners and striking out his fair share.
