1/31/16
Primicias has an athletic frame at 6-foot-3, 205-pounds. He has a wide stance with a slight crouch. He does not use a stride and relies heavily on his hands with his strong swing. His exit velocity was 91 mph and his home-to-1st time was 4.47. Behind the plate, he shuffles his feet and swings his hips around the ball when throwing down to second base. He has a whippy arm and had pop times of 2.02-2.08 with a position velocity of 73 mph.

9/19/15
Strong frame at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds. Offensively, Primicias showed power to his pull side, yanking balls down the line during batting evaluations. Uses a small stride while he stays in his legs with an exit velocity of 83 mph. Has natural lift to swing and finish keeping the ball in the air. Behind the plate, Primicias starts in upright position, and has some length to his transfer, velocity was 74 mph from 3/4 arm slot with slight tail to ball, receives ball cleanly.

4/4/15
Put on a good 10 pounds since we last saw Cipriano. Shows a solid frame with strength. Primicias ran a 40-yard time of 5.34 and a home to first time of 4.47. Defensively, best pop time was 2.07, can get underneath the ball at times on his release causing ball to tail, must find consistent release point. Velocity from the dish was 70 mph, improved arm action can make that number rise. At the plate, a front foot hitter, Cipriano has more power in him than he showed in his round of batting practice. Can generate more with further use of his backside. Hands were loose and was able to catch the ball out front. Exit velocity on the day was 84 mph. Big body catcher with some minor adjustments to make. Could see immediate results.

1/24/15
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound catcher has a strong frame with current strength and size. The right-handed hitter ran a 4.74 home to first which is most likely to be better as his route was a little off-line after contact. Offensively, hits from an open stance with a toe turn to stride. Has some strength and power to the pull side, exit velocity was 87 mph. Average bat speed with some lift at the end of his swing. Defensively, transfers were clean and worked from a high-¾ arm slot on his throws. Velocity down to second registered at 69 mph. At times would get upright early in his exchanges causing the ball to run and stay up. Received the ball well with quiet and soft hands. Should proper blocking technique in the bullpen.
