Johnson continues to improve his game every time we see him. Best pop time we've seen from Johnson at 2.06 with good carry on the ball with accuracy at 69 mph. Hands and lower half agility have improved, receives with softness in hands while gaining ground on his throws with clean, under control footwork. At the plate, quiet actions, hits from upright stance with slight bend in knees, small controlled leg kick, bat plane would level out at contact with slight uppercut and length in swing, more in the tank from Johnson as the exit velocity was 77 mph. Overall solid foundation with catch and throws skills, added strength will be beneficial to Johnson as he continues his craft at the plate.

Young 5-foot-10, 130-pound catcher with strength gains to come as he matures. Right-handed hitter, Johnson starts tall and upright, small rock back with medium stride to load. Gets hands back and up, tries to work inside of ball, has some length and uphill bat path at times. When foot was down and timing was there, hit some line drives during his round. Hands show some looseness in the box, adding strength will be key from offensive standpoint. Behind the dish, showed good foundation, hands worked receiving, footwork had proper foundation, can improve footwork to become quicker, arm worked from 3/4 slot, transfers were clean, tools to work with.
