6-foot, middle infielder with some speed to his game, Chartier runs a 6.89-second 60 and a 4.20-second home-to-first. Line drive approach from the right side, quiet toe tap load with quick hands and consistently drives his bat through the baseball. Stays inside the baseball with a clean and quick follow-through. Shows good athleticism in the box and out in the infield. Arm action is clean and quick, and throws get some carry. Overall an interesting 2019 shortstop with some good athleticism and speed. Chartier will only get better with added strength.
