A projectable outfielder who continues making strides and show off his tools. Barbieri is a fluid and aggressive runner, runs a 6.88-second 60 while displaying both athleticism and twitchiness. Carries over that twitchiness to the plate where he has quick hands from the left side and uses them to generate good bat speed. Starts off from an open stance, uses exaggerated leg kick to load on his back foot, hits off a straight front foot, drives bat quickly and smoothly through the hitting zone as the ball flies off the bat. Looks like a line-drive type hitter who could potential develop some gap-to-gap pop in the future with added muscle mass. Shows tools in the outfield, good athleticism and clean arm action, but will need to emphasize improving footwork and arm strength as he continues to mature. Nevertheless, the uncommitted 2018 classman should be on the radars of many college coaches as he enters the summer of his senior season.

A left-handed hitter that start in a wider setup. Uses a leg kick for timing and takes his hands to launch during his forward move. Athletic kid with an efficient swing. Expect more pop as he fills out a frame that has room to add strength. Showed feel for the barrel and above average bat speed. A line drive type guy who has enough pop to find the gaps. In the outfield, he approaches the ball with urgency. Fields the ball out front to the side of his glove foot and transitions into a small crow hop. Arm slot is a high 3/4 release with a long action. Arm speed is developing.

Barbieri is a 5-foot-9, 129-pound outfielder with a speed element to his game. At the plate he has a short, compact swing, little movement, quiet load, makes hard contact, slap hitter from the left side of the plate. In the field utilizes his speed to get to the ball, arm is still fringy but should be able to correct it. Ran a 7.03 60-time. Barbieri is still small in stature, but will progress into a solid player as he adds weight.
