Undersized but toolsy middle-infielder, Bonzon has some athleticism to his game. Quiet approach from the right side of the plate, with a subtle load, quick hands through the zone and a clean follow-through. Bonzon has good balance at the plate and a swing that generates some lift. Able to spray the ball to all fields. Clean actions out in the field, showing soft hands and the ability to get some carry on his throws. Arm works and transfers are clean and fluid. Overall a toolsy 2019 prospect who will be an interesting follow into the summer.
Small in stature at 5-foot-5, 120-pounds, don't let that fool you as Bonzon plays the game in a big way. Put together tough at-bats with ability to fight off tough pitches. Used the whole field in BP, hands work well to baseball with short path to contact, one of more advanced swing mechanics at age group. Was able to make all plays defensively with confident actions with glove, throws were online and accurate and had one of the all around better days at the Trials.
