4.2.17 - Paliwal is a 2019 left-handed pitcher/ first baseman at 5-foot-10,150-pounds. Moved well around the bag at first, picked the ball and fielded everything cleanly, looked comfortable plain the position, arm was short and got rid of the ball quickly. At the plate, creates rgythm in legs, hands are relaxed with big load back, best when he was on plane, at times would work down to ball, more stability in lower half will help with finish. On the mound, Paliwal worked in low 70's with fastball. Threw striked and actions were clean from 3/4 slot. Threw a split that showed some cutting action and showed he could spin his breaking ball. Look for Paliwal to add more strength and arm speed as he the ability to increase his numbers moving forward with time on his side as a 2019.
