4/2/17 - Yang is an unsigned senior who works off the mound an in the infield. 6-foot with room to add strength gains, the right-hander worked in the low 80's on the mound from a high 3/4 slot, threw strikes with fastball and spun a slow curveball at 62 mph with 11/5 shape. Slow tempo delivery with small hesitation in the back, repeats delivery and room to add more velo from his frame. Defensively, played aggressive style with active lower half, attacked ball and gets rid of it with velocity of 81 mph across the diamond. At the plate, contact guy with quiet hands, leg kick to launch with not much load in hands with uphill, one handed finish.

 6-foot, 158-pound 2017 grad who plays middle of diamond and pitched. At the plate, hits with up and down leg kick, some waggle with the hands while bat angle works down towards the ball. Hands are quiet with no load, pull guy with some aggressiveness to swing. In the infield, works from 3/4 arm slot that is short in the back, can attack ball and move through it, made the plays and arm was clocked at 72 mph. On the mound, fastball topped out at 78 mph, arm is short in the back to a 3/4 arm slot, at times would rush out front and hinder his extension. Curveball was 62 mph with a 10/4 shape, changeup was 73 mph. Frontside would tend to get soft and disconnect, few minor mechanical adjustments will help with Yang off the mound.
