long, lean and projectable 6-foot-3, 185-pounds. The arm is clean in the back and is able to get out-front and use his leverage to work downhill and create down angles on his pitches. The fastball works in the low 80’s range and Follows does a good job of working to both sides of the plate and staying down in the zone. The curveball shows gradual break with 11/5 shape and room to add velocity as it sits in the 65-66 range. He does work his changeup out of the same ¾ slot as his fastball and will see some fading action when he is on time and synced up. Attacks hitters with feel for the strike zone on all three pitches with stuff that is only going to get sharper as he matures and adds more strength to his prototypical pitchers frame.
Pitchers frame at a slender 6-foot-2, 160-pounds with room to grow and add size as a 2019 grad. Slow tempo delivery on mound, arm worked clean in the back and fastball had downward angle at 77 mph. Curveball showed rotation and feel but lacked bite, at times would cast, changeup was 67-68 mph, had some arm side fade, backed up from fastball well with same actions. Clean mechanics and feel for offspeed, Follows could really turn a corner as he matures physically.
