6/14/17
Santos, now 6-foot-3, 175-pounds has raised his numbers over the last time we seen him, added some weight with room for more to come as he matures, and now one of the top 3rd baseman in the Ontario 2018 class. Swing is refined with added strength, line drives in BP with bat speed, stays between legs and hands work back to create rhythm. Exit velocity was 91 mph displaying the added bat speed Santos now has. In the infield Santos shows feel for glove, reads balls well, arm was 77 mph across diamond, will open up and lose base at times. 2018 grad with some hit tool, good feel in the box and has the frame that will continue to get stronger.
60-Yard Dash: 6.92
Exit Velocity: 77
INF Velocity: 91

2/15/15
6-foot-2, 170-pound athletic frame that projects more strength and quickness. Offensively, ran best time of the day from home to first at 4.28. 40-yard dash was 5.06. At the plate, uses a small stride with a straight back load. Flashes some bat speed while staying balanced and under control. Did good job of using whole field. Has an idea of how to hit, shows he has some hand eye coordination. Exit velocity was 81 mph. Defensively, fielded ball clean out front while feet stayed moving and through the ball. Had some feel for the glove, transfer worked with some length to his arm. Velocity across the diamond was 72 mph from a low-¾ slot. Would break down on front leg, more in there from a arm standpoint. Good makeup for the young 2018.

1/24/15
6-foot-2, 170-pound middle infielder who lean, athletic frame that can see future gains down the road. Ran a 4.21 from the left side from home to first. Offensively, was in an open, crouch stance with hands and bat upright at start. Small stride and load, hands would get below the ball causing some lift. Had a couple really good swings that flashed some bat speed and hands would stay above the ball that resulted in line drives. Exit velocity was 82 mph. On the defensive side, Santos showed average hands to go along with a live lower half. Tendency to collapse on front leg when throwing across the infield. Velocity was 73 mph across the diamond. Transfers were clean and led to a ¾ arm slot. Hands can soften up a bit by being more loose and relaxed in the field.
