Added strength with room to still fill out at 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, Hinrikus shows bat speed and ability to drive the ball gap to gap offensively. The setup is quiet and upright, he gets the bat started and barrels up baseball and can leave the park with some juice to the pull side. Third baseman with actions and arm strength, also saw time this summer in the outfield at the corners. Intriguing prospect who has taken a big step in his game this summer.
9.9.17 - Hinrikus is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound infielder with strength and some quick twitch to his game. Ran a 60 time of 7.38 at regular effort while there should be room to shave down a few ticks as he continues to mature. At the plate, right-handed bat with a toe tap to launch, stays online and balanced while bat gets flat through to contact. Strength is there as he peppered balls into the gaps with loud contact. Hands were quick and generates well from lower half. Defensively showed confidence in glove, feet work well and arm was average. Would like to see more control with body on throws but is attainable with reps. Good looking 2019 grad with upside and chance to hit with some pop.
