9/9/17 - Hartley is a left-handed hitting outfielder with ability to run as his sixty time was 7.19 with a slow start. At the plate, quiet stance with not much movement in lower half, hands have some quickness, swing can get long and steep at times, does show feel for the barrel and bat speed through the zone with an exit velo of 86 mph. Line drives in BP and worked gap to gap. Defensively, approached balls with good footwork in the outfield, will fall off early at times which hinder his ability to get out front with throws. The arm works and is clean in the back. Toolsy player who with some minor adjustments can take his game to the next level.

Left-handed hitting outfiedler listed at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, still room to add strength gains for the 2018 grad. Gets down the line well, was a 4.40 and has takes off once he gets going. Moved well in the outfield, velocity was 76 mph, at times would get a little underneath ball losing height and carry, arm swing is clean and more is there. At the plate, was locked in early as he peppered the L screen with line drives. Not a lot of movement in the box, picks up hands and go's, can get long at times, when timing is there and he is able to get through balls is when they jump. Bat speed is there with 86 mph exit velocity, room to create more with swing and think he can be a hitter from left side with some speed. One to keep an eye on.
