Deegan stands at 5-foot-10, 174 pounds with an athletic frame.  Offensively- Righty with shoulder width open stance.  Hands above ears that drop with stride to engage.  Short smooth compact swing path with flat barrel through contact.  Exit velocity of 82 MPH, good bat speed, very loose overall fluid swing.  Defensively- Fields to left side, out in front of lead leg.  Smooth glove transfer, strong arm at a high 3/4- slot. 84 MPH velocity from the outfield.  Deegan is definitely a player to keep an eye on this Spring.       

Deegan is a 2018 grad with clean actions and room to gain strength as he continues to develop. Ran a 7.00 flat in the sixty with regular effort and should get a tick or two quicker as he matures and gets stronger. At the plate, balanced and athletic with slight downhill path to ball. Worked gap to gap and can generate more from lower half which should increase his bat speed. Footwork was clean and moved well in the outfield. Arm has more to come and can work on timing with transfer and lower half. Deegan has actions and should gain strength as he continues to develop. With the actions and fundamentals, looks as someone who has lots more game in him.
