4/2/17 - Morris now 5-foot-10, 160-pounds. Added strength and velocity to his fastball which is now 82 mph. 3/4 slot for the right-handed Morris, lower half works really well down the mound, fastball worked with downhill angle, sitting 80-82 for strikes to both sides. Changeup was 69-71 and breaking ball was more of a slider that had some bite and depth at 69-71. Morris with big number changes from year ago, like the actions and way his body works on the mound, more to come,

5-foot-9, 135-pound two-way guy with athleticism. At the plate Morris is ready to hit, starts in a slight crouch, bat starts in a loaded position, good use of the lower half, hands drop a little but still shoots the gaps. Good pop for his size. Moves well in the infield, very confident on the backhand. On the mound topped out at 74 mph, whips the ball through from a high ¾ arm slot, opens up the glove side. Morris is small in stature but plays a lot bigger than he is.
