Lotsis is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound 2B/3B from Episcopal Academy. He was the starting 2B as a freshman for the Churchmen.
4/21/15 Shows an ability to use the whole field with his compact, left-handed stroke. Good wheels (ran a 4.25 home-to-first and a 4.38 on a turn).
4/18/15 Only saw two at-bats: an opposite field knock on which he ran a 4.66 on the turn, and a hit-by-pitch. Left-handed hitter with short, quick hand path.
2/14/15 Lotsis employs a simple, compact approach with a short stride and minimal head and body movement. He can get a little stiff in his load due to a slight armbar, but still flashes plenty of bat speed from his launch point around armpit height. Defensively, he showed solid feet and hands accompanied by an arm best-suited for second base. His foot speed would play well in left- or center-field as well.
5/9/14 Lotsis is a left-handed hitter that starts from a square stance with good bat angle and launch position. Has some bat speed. Ran a 4.32 home-to-1B. Arm strength currently below average; could see speed playing in left field at next level.
