5/2/16 Right-handed hitter barreled the baseball all three at-bats, including getting his hands inside a fastball and driving it to center field for a triple, lining out to center, and letting a curveball travel well that resulted in a sharp groundout. Intriguing late addition for a program; has always had some tools, but was injured most of last year.

6/17/15 5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed hitter. Hit from slightly open, balanced stance. Flashes some bat speed, although flat barrel at launch can create some length. When the barrel creeps up at launch, swing shortens and he takes a more direct path. Showcased 80-mph arm strength during workout. Solid defensive skills, including glovehand and footwork to ball; could have feet a little more active playing through the catch.
2/14/15 Defense is the strength of Ciarlone's game, as he exhibits good feet, very good hands, and plays low to the ground. At the plate, he starts slightly open and strides to square, loading his hands to a good launch position. He has some power potential and showed the ability to barrel the ball in BP, and could become a highly intriguing hitter if he can shorten his swing path a bit.
