7/20/16 5-foot-8, 170-pound switch-hitter displayed similar swing mechanics from both sides of the plate with an 85 mph bat exit velocity. True switch-hitter went 2-for-5 with a sacrifice fly in game action over two days. Advanced receiver behind the plate displayed quick feet and a clean transition on throws to 2B during defensive evaluations with average arm strength.
6.4.16 - Arturo Figueroa is an interesting left handed hitting prospect. Showed some bat speed with free hands in his swing working through the zone. Shows some extension through contact and gets long happy at times, but shows nice rhythm and potential at the plate…Bombers showed plenty of athleticism on their team with talent throughout the team. Nice size with projection for the majority of the team.

2/14/16 5-foot-8, 170-pound switch hitter. Similar swings from both sides of the plate with slightly higher hand load from the left side. Starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a short leg-lift stride. Showed solid feel for barrel from both sides with a line drive approach on the right and a bit more pop from the left. Registered a top bat exit velocity of 87 mph, ran a 7.06 60-yard dash and flashed pop times of 2.06-2.16 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. Displayed a wide, athletic set up with advanced receiving and blocking skills. Showcased quick transition and solid footwork. Arm strength should continue to develop.

6/17/15 Received well, showed agility when blocking. Quick feet and release with very good accuracy allow arm strength to play up on stolen base attempts (2.08-2.15 workout pop times) and backpicks, which he is not afraid to do liberally. Appears to have a head for the position, at times patting the glove inside on a hitter before shifting and setting up away. 5-foot-7, 165-pound switch-hitter with some strength in his frame. From the left side, starts slightly open and uses a knee-to-knee stride to get to square, employing a slightly uphill swing path through the zone. From the right side, starts open and strides to slightly open, with a shorter path and more bat speed (88-mph exit velo vs 82-mph from the left side).
2/15/15 Figueroa showcased above average receiving and blocking skills with pop times of 2.13-2.24 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. The 5-foot-7, 165-pound switch-hitter ran a solid 7.16 60-yard dash and next level abilities from both sides of the plate. Figueroa showcased a slightly open stance, good balance and a handsy swing as a right-handed hitter during a solid round of batting practice. His left-handed swing shows some power potential with good extension and a bat exit velocity of 83 mph.
