2/15/15 Baker sat 74-76 with some arm side run out of a 3/4 arm slot. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound lefty also showcased a 67 mph curveball with 1/7 roatation and a 70 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed. Baker has a projectable frame and has shown continuous progress on the mound with added velocity likely in the coming years.
2/14/15 Baker is a physical 6-foot-1, 205-pound left-handed hitter that has shown steady gains offensively. The sophomore hits from a square, balanced stance and utilizes a toe tap stride to initiate his swing. Baker stays behind the baseball well and creates significant barrel whip with a strong lower half. He shows present power with a bat exit velocity of 88 mph. Baker ran a 7.34 60-yard dash and showed capable actions around the bag at first base with an accurate 75 mph arm across the diamond.

7/20/14 Baker is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound sophomore that sat 77-79 from a high 3/4 arm slot during an effective four innings on the mound. The lefty displayed some hip coil to his delivery while also commanding a 68 mph 1/7 breaking curveball and a 68 mph changeup. Baker has projectable size and has shown steady velocity gains over the past year. He allowed three hits and one run while striking out two with six of his outs being recorded on the ground.
2/15/14 Baker is a solidly built 6-foot, 185-pound 1B/LHP that had an impressive showing for a player that has yet to play his first high school game. The left-handed hitter showed legitimate power potential from a square stance with balance throughout his swing. Baker barreled the baseball consistently and showed the ability to drive the baseball to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Baker will need to continue to work on his agility and arm strength (73 mph) defensively. He registered a 4.58 home-to-1B time. Baker sat 75-77 with his fastball losing much of his velocity when he opens up. His 60-62 mph curveball is a spinner at this point and needs continued development. Baker also showcased a 64-66 mph changeup that he telegraphs by slowing his arm speed.
7/30/13 Baker is a solidly built, 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect that has yet to play an inning of high school baseball. He sat 71-73 with some arm side run to his fastball and commanded a 64-66 mph curveball. Baker throws strikes and stays down in the zone. He showcased a short, line drive stroke at the plate with a bat exit velocity of 79 mph. He went 1-for-4 at the plate in game action on day two of the event.
6/19/13 Baker is a 5-foot-11, 180-pound LHP/1B who worked out only as a pitcher and showed some promise. The solidly built lefty sat 72-74 with some arm side run out of a high 3/4 arm slot. Baker also showcased a 64-66 mph 1/7 breaking curveball and a changeup that sat 68-70. Baker has a tendency to allow his front side to fly open, but showed good command of all three pitches and the potential for significant velocity gains in the future.
