2/14/15 Moyer impressed with a loose swing and 86 mph bat exit velocity. The 5-foot-9, 200-pound left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and uses a quiet lower half in creating significant barrel whip. The sophomore showed some power potential to the pull side and the ability to hit for average. Moyer moves well around the first base bag and displayed a soft glove hand with an accurate 74 mph arm across the diamond. As he continues to mature physically Moyer should improve upon his current foot speed (7.97 60-yard dash).
