2/7/15 Hays showcased well in all facets of the game. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound two-way prospect ran a 6.97 60-yard dash and flashed an 86 mph bat exit velocity from a square right-handed stance. The sophomore displayed a flat swing path with no stride while consistently squaring the baseball. Hays showed an 85 mph arm from the outfield and capable defensive actions at shortstop with throws of 78 mph across the diamond. The righty sat topped at 83 mph from a 3/4 arm slot with some hip coil to his delivery. Hays also fashed a 73 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and a 71 mph knuckle ball.
