1/14/17

5-foot-10, 145-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and incorporates a toe-tap stride to create a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. Also displayed an improving curveball with 10/4 rotation at 63 mph and a 62 mph changeup thrown with near fastball arm speed.

Academic Games-NY (June 3, 2017)

5-foot-10, 145 pound right-hander packs potentia from an athletic frame. Offensively - Short to the ball with an exit velocity of 73 MPH, repeatable swing, comfortable going to the middle third of the field, home to first time at 4.61. Plate coverage, balance and a repeatable swing. Defensively - soft hands, with developing footwork. Position velocity of 71 MPH will improve with lower body engagement. Pitching - Commands 12 to 6 breaking ball at 63-64 MPH that hitters struggle to match, confident going to slider which he uses to change eye level, fastball at 71-73 MPH will only improve as this 2020 matures, positive hip tilt at balance point. Falls slightly off the mound to the 1B side.
